What is Residual Income (and How Can You Get Some)?
Are you living paycheck to paycheck? Then it's time to get out of the rat race and
start thinking in terms of multiple streams of income, such as leveraged income,
passive income, or recurring income. Whatever you call it, what we're talking about
here is not a technical definition, but a means to illustrate that with a little planning
your initial work can generate a lifetime of income. You can some day kick back and
enjoy life on your terms (instead of relying on a paycheck).
You see, your paycheck is linear income. You're trading your time for money. As
there are only so many hours in the day, you would have a limit to your wealth if
you were to rely only on your paycheck. But if you were to shift your thinking to
learn about multiple streams of income you could leverage your time and profit
from recurring income that has minimal or limited involvement. To do this you will
need to learn to delegate, automate, affiliate and model after the success of others.
Whatever your course of action, it's inspiring to know that the "residues" of your
initial efforts can generate residual income.
To that end, here is a starter list of ideas:

commission). - Sell your business as a franchise and let others pay you to duplicate your
success. - Hire trusted staff to operate your established business (for example,
become a restaurateur). - Buy stocks and collect dividends.
- Write a book or a magazine article.
- Sell an eBook on your own Web site or blog, on Amazon, or through the
affiliate marketplace, such as ClickBank, Affiliate Junktion, or Share-a-sale. - Write a song and collect royalties from the published music.
