eBay Bucks: rebate program mailed to select eBay members
In a wake of controversy in early May, eBay sent invitations by e-mail to
select eBay members -- unfortunately for eBay, many of the buyers to
receive the online coupons reported the program as a phishing scheme.
The buyer loyalty program, called eBayBucks, offered an initial shopping
reward of $3-$5 for signing up with added awards for shopping during the
May 15 to Aug. 14, 2008 testing phase. The program has restrictions,
including a 30-day spending period (Aug. 22-Sept. 21, 2008) to redeem the
eBay Bucks voucher.
Here are the problems we saw with the eBay Bucks:
Didn't get eBay Bucks invitation?
